July 1999 to July 2008

Talbot Walk Antique Centre has successfully traded in the historic picturesque village of Ripley, Surrey for the past 9 years and is one of the finest antique centres in Surrey. The Antiques are housed in the Ballroom, Stables and Smithy surrounding the courtyard of the Talbot Hotel a 15th Century Coaching Inn. Over the past 9 years, we have built up a wealth of local customers and dealers who know that every time they visit our centre they will find something new and fascinating amongst the huge selection of stock we have to offer.

The time has come, however, to enhance on our reputation of excellence through expansion by relocating to a Premier Location in an elegant but substantial Georgian property, midway along Dorkings famous West Street, an internationally renowned focus for Antiques in the U.K. Our new name at Dorking will be "Talbot House Antique Centre" - a fine name for such a fine building that we now occupy.

The Talbot Walk Sales

We shall be carrying on the tradition of the Talbot Walk Sales which are held twice a year. The Talbot Walk Antique Centre was probably the first antique centre in the UK to hold sales and had done so since it first opened with the first sale being held in January 2000.

Antiquarian Eric Knowles

Television personality Eric Knowles known to most for his appearances on The Antiques Roadshow and in the BBC Homes and Antiques magazine is no stranger to our centre.

In the past we have been fortunate to have Eric share his vast knowledge of Antiques with us by holding a highly successful valuation day with a light hearted evening talk on The Good, The Bad and The Downright Ugly.
